2. Information users provide
We may collect information submitted through account registration, demonstrations, support requests and service use. This can include names, business or garage details, email addresses, phone numbers, account credentials, user roles, subscription details and communications with Axlar.
3. Customer, vehicle and workshop data
Authorised users may enter customer contact details, vehicle identifiers and history, appointments, job cards, inspection findings, estimates, approvals, repair activity, invoices, payment records and other workshop or service data. The subscribing business is responsible for having an appropriate legal basis and authority to collect and use the information it enters into Axlar.
4. Uploaded content
If enabled in the service, users may upload photographs, documents, attachments or other content connected to workshop records. Customers should upload only content they are authorised to use and should avoid unnecessary sensitive information.
5. Application, device and log information
Axlar may collect technical and diagnostic information such as device and browser type, operating system, application version, timestamps, IP-derived approximate location, session activity, feature usage, crash information, security events and service logs. The exact mobile-app data inventory must remain aligned with the disclosures made in Google Play Console.
6. Cookies and website analytics
The public website and web application may use essential cookies required for security, sessions and service operation. Analytics or similar technologies may be used only when configured and should be documented and managed with consent where required. Axlar does not describe unconfirmed advertising or tracking practices in this policy.
7. How information is used
Information may be used to deliver and administer Axlar, authenticate users, operate workshop workflows, provide customer support, process subscriptions, maintain security, prevent fraud or misuse, diagnose problems, improve the service, communicate relevant service information and meet legal or contractual obligations.
8. Manual WhatsApp sharing
Axlar currently allows users to manually share customer-facing items such as estimates and approval links through WhatsApp. The user chooses when to share and selects the recipient. Axlar does not currently claim automated WhatsApp messaging, background reminders, chatbot functionality or conversation synchronisation.
9. Service providers and subprocessors
Axlar may use service providers for functions such as infrastructure hosting, communications, monitoring, customer support, payment processing and professional services. Providers should receive only the information reasonably needed for their role and be subject to appropriate contractual safeguards. The final processor list and any required notices remain subject to legal and operational confirmation.
10. Data storage and international transfers
Information may be processed or stored in countries other than the user’s location, depending on the infrastructure and service providers used. Axlar does not claim that data is stored only in Qatar or the United Arab Emirates. Appropriate transfer safeguards should be documented where applicable after the final hosting and processor arrangements are confirmed.
11. Data retention
Information is kept only as long as reasonably necessary for service delivery, account administration, legitimate business records, security, dispute resolution and legal or contractual requirements. Retention varies by information type and customer agreement. Final retention periods require business and legal confirmation and are not represented here as fixed periods.
12. Security
Axlar aims to use reasonable administrative, organisational and technical safeguards appropriate to the service and the information handled. Customers are responsible for protecting credentials, assigning appropriate access and promptly reporting suspected misuse. No internet service or storage method can be guaranteed completely secure.
13. Account and data deletion
Customers and users can request account or personal-data deletion through the public Axlar Account & Data Deletion page. Requests are verified and processed subject to legitimate legal, contractual, billing, backup and record-retention requirements.
14. User rights
Depending on applicable law and the role of the subscribing business, individuals may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or portability. Axlar may need to verify identity and may direct a request to the relevant subscribing workshop when that workshop controls the customer data.
15. Children’s privacy
Axlar is a business service and is not directed to children. It should not be used to knowingly collect children’s personal information unless the customer has a lawful business need, appropriate authority and any required consent.
16. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated as Axlar, its mobile application, legal requirements or operating practices evolve. The latest version and revision date will remain available at this public URL.
